Renew Your Membership

The information on this page applies only to current members and former members whose membership has expired. Candidates for a new membership (that is, persons who have never held an ON/NO membership) should see the Become a Member of ON/NO page.

Notice

Membership services such as issuing new memberships and renewing existing memberships are currently available only at swims and certain other events as ON/NO is not holding in-person meetings at the present time. Memberships can also be renewed online or by mail. You can find full details below.

Renewal options

You may renew your membership:

Download a Membership Renewal Form

Whichever renewal option you choose, you will need to submit a Membership Renewal Form. You may think, “I paid my renewal fee. Isn’t that sufficient?” Unfortunately not. We need your duly completed form in order to comply with various regulatory and insurance obligations.

You can download an electronically fillable Membership Renewal Form from our website or obtain a hard copy when you renew in person. However, we would much prefer that you download the form and fill it out electronically as that not only insures legibility but speeds up the processing at the pool or other event for those renewing in person.

Note: Previous versions of the form did not work well in many PDF apps on Android phones and tablets or in many PDF browser extensions on PCs (as we were not able to test the forms on Apple devices, we cannot comment on their performance.) We have made changes to the forms in an attempt to address this issue. However, we cannot guarantee that the form will work on every app and on every device. If you cannot find an app that works on your device, you may need to download the form to a PC and fill it out using a standalone PDF Reader or Editor app.

If you do not have the necessary PDF software, you can download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. For those who may wish to avoid using Adobe software, there are numerous free alternative products available. One that consistently ranks at the top of lists of Adobe Acrobat alternatives is PDFgear.

Renewing online

To renew your membership online, pay the renewal fee by Interac e-Transfer and submit your renewal form by email.

Step 1: Make your payment

Send your payment by Interac e-Transfer payable to treasurer@onno.ca. In the message, Include your name, your membership number, purpose of the payment (membership renewal fee), and your email address. (If your financial institution does not allow messages — or restricts the length of messages — send this information in a separate email to treasurer@onno.ca)

If asked to enter a security question and response, use Dress Code as the security question and BARE as the security response.

Step 2: Submit your renewal form

Download and electronically fill a Membership Renewal Form (see above). A signature is not required. Simply type your name in the signature field. Save the form and send it as an email attachment to membership@onno.ca.

If you do not know your ON/NO membership number, contact membership@onno.ca for assistance.

Your new membership card will be available for pick up at a future swim or other designated event.

Renewing in person or by mail

Download and fill in a Membership Renewal Form (see above), sign it and submit it together with your payment in person at a swim or other designated event or by mail to the address on the form.

If you do not know your ON/NO membership number, contact membership@onno.ca for assistance.

When renewing in person, your new membership card may be available on the spot if the lapse in your membership has not exceeded one year. When renewing by mail, or if your card is not available when renewing in person, it will be available for pick up at a future swim or other designated event.
