ON/NO is pleased to bring this event, organized by an ON/NO member, to the attention of other members. Life drawing is usually with a nude model, but for this nude life drawing workshop, we will undertake exercises with models integrating costuming into their poses -- it is the artists who will be nude.
We will take the first fifteen minutes to discuss the objectives of the event, to answer questions, and to allow for latecomers, at which point the doors will be locked, participants will disrobe, and instructed drawing will begin.
Instruction will be provided on how to understand the human form, its relationship to drapery and clothing, and how to translate this understanding into drawing or painting.
Participants at any level of experience and artistic ability are invited to attend. Invite a dear friend, if you would like to.
Drawing material will be made available for those who need it, but participants are invited to bring their own materials: sketchbooks, pencil, pen, etc. There shall be no photography during the event. Please bring a towel for your seating comfort and hygiene.
And, yes, it is happening April 1. And, no, it is not a joke.

Amenities: This venue is a wave pool with an enclosed two storey circular water slide with separate landing pool, a large fully accessible hot whirlpool, a dry sauna, and a kiddie pool with spray fountains.
Fee: $12 per adult, free for children
Payment: cash or debit at the door
Entry: Doors open at 8:00 pm and are closed and locked at 8:45 pm after which time you will not be able to enter.
Volunteers are needed to help put up and take down the curtains. If you are available, please arrive 30 minutes prior to the swim and/or be able to stay 15 minutes afterward. Many thanks!

As ON/NO is not holding in-person meetings at the present time, the information sessions for non-members which customarily accompany such meetings are also not taking place. 20 April 2024This swim has been relocated from Pool W to Pool N to avoid consecutive swims at Pool W.
Great News: The phase of the renovation work affecting the Aerobics Studio where our yoga classes are held has been completed and thus the Aerobics Studio will be available. While none of our regular yoga instructors are available, one of our members who is herself a yoga instructor has volunteered to lead the class. There will be no charge for this session which can accommodate 20 participants.
Note: Due to a major renovation project at the building in which the pool is located, there will be no gym activities at this swim. There will be no access to the gym and change rooms (including saunas and steam rooms); we will access the pool directly from the lobby via a temporary entrance and disrobe on the pool deck (please bring a bag in which to store your belongings). There are showers in the pool area. Toilet facilities are located on the second floor, so it will be necessary to cover yourself when travelling between the pool and the toilets.
Amenities: On this occasion, the facilities available are limited to the salt water pool, hot tub and yoga room.
Fee: $8 per adult, free for children (on this occasion only, there will be no charge for yoga)
Payment: cash or debit at the door
Yoga: Pay for the swim when you arrive and obtain your yoga ticket (20 spots are available). Then proceed to the Aerobics Studio on the lower level where we will disrobe. Following the class, we will proceed as a group to the pool. As we will be passing through public areas of the building, you must cover yourself as we move from the Aerobics Studio to the pool.
Entry: doors open at 5:45 pm and are closed and locked at 7:15 pm after which time you will not be able to enter.

27 April 2024This event, held at a private residence, comprises a one-hour yoga session followed by a potluck supper and games night. The capacity for yoga is 10 guests while a total of 25 can be accommodated for the potluck supper and games night.

Game night from after supper to 9:00 pm. The hosts have lots of games (e.g. Code Names, Ticket to Ride, Labyrinth, Bonanza, Yahtzee, card games, etc.) but if people have a special game they would like to share, they are welcome to bring it.
